Favourite 5 Springtime Habits


Spring is a beautiful time of renewal, new life, and starting fresh! It is the perfect time to start a new routine, and kick old habits that don’t serve you to the curb! I also think about getting ready for the summer! I want to get organized, get in shape, and have all my ducks in a row, so I can take advantage of vacation time and the amazing weather soon to come!

Today, I’m sharing my favorite 5 springtime habits that you can start now!

Make room for the new and fresh! “Spring cleaning” is a term often thrown around this time of year, and it is valid because it has some powerful energy behind it. By getting rid of old things that don’t serve us anymore, it makes room for the new to come in and renew our lives for the better. This can include cleaning up your home environment, your diet, your thought patterns, and relationships. Make room for the positive in your life and you will feel so much lighter and ready to take on summer.

Take extra care of yourself. Tap into the new energy of spring, and raise your vibe by going an extra step to do things that nurture you. This could be eating more raw leafy greens and colourful fruits and veggies for their life-giving properties, or going for a massage or chiropractic adjustment to get your nervous system functioning at a higher level. Also, it's a great time to commit to your workouts or start up a new workout program to keep it fresh and exciting, Spring Fresh Idea: Start with getting up 30 minutes earlier each morning and doing 30 minutes of light exercise to rev up your metabolism! You can totally manage that!

Meditate: nothing helps you get crystal clear about your life, and helps you focus on what’s important, like meditation. Spring is the perfect time to get into a routine for meditation because of the powerful energy of the season in the air. Get outside and breathe! Yes, we’ve been cooped up for tooooo long! The sun is shining; get out in nature and breath in that fresh air. It will be incredibly energizing and oxygenizes all those hard working cells of yours! Want to take it to the next level? Try deep breathing to help you de-stress and become more alkaline in your body (which promotes healing and wellness). Try breathing in for 5 seconds, holding for 5 seconds and then exhaling for 5 seconds. Try doing this 10 times in the morning, 10 times during your time outdoors, and 10 times before bed = GAME CHANGER.

Elevate your Energy! Since spring is a time of renewal and new life, reflect that in your daily choices. Choose bright colours for your wardrobe that inspire you and make you feel at your best. Drink lots of water to boost your metabolism, improve your energy and make your skin glow (psst…the secret to glowing, vibrant skin is so simple, it’s drinking lots of the H2O..it’s that easy…I promise)!
